Ethical statement
All manuscripts submitted to "Acción Motriz" must observe international ethical standards. We follow the ethical principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, http://publicationethics.org), and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE, http://www.icmje.org)
Publication and authorship
· All submitted papers are subject to a strict review process by reviewers who are experts in the subject matter of the particular manuscript.
· The factors taken into account in the review are relevance, solidity, importance and originality.
· Possible decisions include acceptance, acceptance with modifications, or rejection.
· If authors are encouraged to revise and resubmit a manuscript, there is no guarantee that the revised manuscript will be accepted.
· Rejected articles will not be re-examined.
· Acceptance of works is limited by current legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
· No research can be included in more than one publication.
Responsibility of the authors
· Authors must certify that their manuscripts are their original work.
· Authors must certify that the manuscript has not been previously published elsewhere.
· Authors must certify that the manuscript is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
· Authors must participate in the peer review process; That is, they are responsible for responding to the observations, suggestions and comments of the manuscript evaluators.
· Authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of errors.
· All authors mentioned in the document must have contributed significantly to the research.
· Authors must declare that all data in the document is real and authentic.
· Authors must notify editors of any conflict of interest.
· Authors must identify all sources used in the creation of their manuscript.
· Authors must report any errors they discover in their published article to the Editors.
Responsibility of reviewers
· Reviewers must keep all information regarding documents confidential and treat them as privileged information.
· Revisions must be carried out objectively, without personal criticism of the author.
· Reviewers must express their points of view clearly, with supporting arguments.
· Reviewers must identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
· Reviewers should also bring to the attention of the Editor-in-Chief any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript in question and any other published document of which they are aware.
· Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competition, collaboration, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies or institutions in relation to the manuscri
Editors Responsibility
· Editors have full responsibility and authority to reject or accept an article.
· Editors are responsible for the content and overall quality of the publication.
· Editors must always take into account the needs of authors and readers when it comes to improving the publication.
· Editors must guarantee the quality of the works and the integrity of the academic record.
· Editors should publish pages of errata or make corrections when necessary.
· Editors must have a clear idea of the sources of research funding.
· Editors should base their decisions solely on the importance of the manuscript, its originality, clarity, and relevance to the scope of the publication.
· Editors must not reverse their decisions or revoke those of previous editors without serious and justified reason.
· Editors must preserve the anonymity of contributors.
· Editors must ensure that all research material they publish conforms to internationally accepted ethical standards.
· Editors should only accept a manuscript when it is reasonably certain.
· Editors must act if they suspect misconduct, whether an article is published or not, and make all reasonable efforts to persist in obtaining a solution to the problem.
· Editors should not reject papers based on suspicion; they must have proof of misconduct.
· Editors should not allow conflicts of interest between staff, authors, reviewers and board members.
